The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

The sky turns to peach and lemon as the early morning sun casts long shadows beyond this iconic bit of Americana. Years of neglect have ravaged this barn and today all that remains of this once beautiful building are a few massive timbers. A decade ago I took some photos of this Wayne City, Illinois barn and they served as the reference point for this painting.

I have been painting in watercolor for thirty five years. Most recently I have added the medium of oils to my artistic experience. My participation in a variety of art shows has garnered me many awards. I love to plein air paint, which simply put is painting on location, typically out of doors.
