The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

Farmers were paid about $2 per year to have their barns painted with the ad. They valued the paint job to protect the wood more than the money for the ad!
