Description
While exploring a burned out warehouse I came across an American flag hanging in an old elevator shaft in the burned out remains.
I would love to tell you the story about who left it and why it was there but it is a mystery. To me I see it as a symbol of hope. To me it symbolizes that even if all your worldly possessions have vanished or been burned to the ground there is always hope so long as we still have our freedom.

Poignant imagery. What catches my eye is the fact that you captured a bright, clean flag set against a dirty, abandoned building backdrop. As you say, thoughts of hope, and recovery come to mind immediately. If it had been a tattered and/or dirty flag the imagery would have been completely opposite. Very well done! L/F

Outstanding...for so many reasons; one being the textural qualities and their implications: brick and mortar; foundation, steadfastness, usefulness, necessity...yet forgotten; but then again, the light of hope, faith and brilliance of pride...Most appreciated, thank you for sharing! tdp
